On 29 January 2026, the European Union published Commission Regulation (EU) 2026/215 in the Official Journal of amending Annexes II and V of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 as regards maximum residue levels (MRLs) for dimoxystrobin, ethephon and propamocarb in or on certain products.
The MRLs for dimoxystrobin are set at the product-specific limit of determination (LOD) for all products due to the non-renewal of the authorisation of this active substance.
For ethephon and propamocarb, some MRLs are being lowered on basis of updated risk assessments by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA).
The new maximum levels shall apply from 19 August 2026, except for ethephon in or on apples and blueberries and for propamocarb in or on lettuce, which will apply immediately.
